[00:00:00] Speaker A: Foreign voice of the Lord. All you people, help us be ready to obey what he says. With one voice. Let us say we will do things your way. Yes, Lord. We'll do what you say. [00:00:31] Speaker B: Welcome to the Way of Life Program. The Way of Life is designed to draw us into a deeper fellowship and knowledge of Jesus Christ and his desires for his children. [00:00:43] Speaker C: Good day, everyone. My name is Shamin. I welcome you to the Way of Life Program. I'm going to start this program by talking about the attributes of God. These are his qualities or his characteristics. So today I'm going to examine one of those characteristics, and that is that God is everlasting. By studying the attributes of God, we shape our concept or perception of who he is. And this will greatly influence and determine our way of life. It will influence our behavior patterns. It will influence our relationships, and it will influence our perception of ourselves. The right concept of God saves us from idolatry, superstitions and perversions. So, as I said earlier, the first attribute we will look at is that God is everlasting. The God of whom I speak is the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. This God is not limited by time as we human beings are. He has no beginning or end. He has always been there, and he will always be there. You may ask, how is this possible? Well, God began the beginning and he ended it. He made the beginning, but he has no beginning. Because God is everlasting. It means he is timeless. Can you grasp the depth of what this means? We as human beings began. We have beginnings, but God has no beginning. For us human beings, it is difficult to comprehend a being that has no beginning. Always remember this. In Genesis 1, God created the heavens and the earth. He began the beginning. He set time in the earth. God lives in a realm called eternity. And eternity is timeless. It has no beginning and it has no end. God has no beginning and he has no end as revealed in Isaiah 43:1012. It says, you are my witnesses, says the Lord, and my servant whom I have chosen. That you may know and believe me and understand that I am He. Before Me there was no God formed, nor shall there be after me. I, even I am the Lord. And besides Me there is no Savior. I have declared and saved. I have proclaimed. And there was no foreign God among you. Therefore you are my witnesses, says the Lord, that I am God. He is outside of the realm of time. And in Genesis 21:33, then Abraham planted a tamarisk tree in Beersheba. And they are called on the name of the Lord, the everlasting God. This is what he wants us to know. God is everlasting. Until next time, enjoy your day. [00:04:24] Speaker A: Hear the voice of the Lord. All you people of earth, be ready to obey what he says. With one voice. Let us say we will do things your way. Yes, Lord. We'll do what you say. [00:04:42] Speaker B: Thank you for tuning in to the Way of Life program. Join us next time as we grow in our knowledge and love of Christ Jesus. Until next time. God bless.
